The RESPECT Messaging Campaign is a National Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) Social Behavioural Change initiative which aims to address the pervasive scourge of GBVF in South Africa. Aligned with the National Strategic Plan for Gender-Based Violence and Femicide and the Sustainable Development Goals, the campaign embodies the spirit of Ubuntu, emphasizing the essential value of respect in fostering a safer society.
With a strategic focus on Awareness, Call to Action, Education, Capacity Building, and Advocacy, the campaign aims to catalyze a nationwide movement against GBVF.
