Professor Katz is the Chairman of ENSafrica, specializing in corporate and commercial law. He is also the Chairman of the Johannesburg Holocaust and Genocide Company (NPC) and the Director at the American Chamber of Commerce in SA (NPC) and Solidarity Response Fund NPC. He is a trustee of a number of trusts including the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, Legal Resources Trust, Constitutional Court Trust, Donald Gordon Foundation, Constitution Hill Trust, and South African Holocaust and Genocide Foundation. Professor Katz holds a B.Com and LLB (Witwatersrand University), an LL.M (Harvard Law School) and an LL.D (h.c) (Witwatersrand University).
